I set up in a shady spot outside the camper. Using some of my Newfoundland photos, I play with a couple of puffin studies before developing a more detailed profile. I really want to develop the composition of the puffin gazing at the far-off iceberg, but given the timing, I think the portrait will suffice. The deadline for “Critters” is tomorrow and there are adventures to be had!
Many campers chat in passing. Some linger longer. I get real estate tips from a retired artist. A little girl comes back after she gets out of her wet bathing suit and we have a rollicking conversation, joined later by her mom.
